St. Luke's Got Talent!
Time, Talent and Treasure ... Gifts from God
For as in one body we have many parts, and all the parts do not have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ and individually parts of one another. Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us exercise them: if prophecy, in proportion to the faith; if ministry, in ministering; if one is a teacher, in teaching; if one exhorts, in exhortation; if one contributes, in generosity; if one is over others, with diligence; if one does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 12:4-8
Got Talent?
St. Luke's Catholic Church is similar to any volunteer community. It depends greatly on the members of its parish to thrive as a community of faithful Catholics. Historically, St. Luke's community spirit is a reflection of the drive and energy emitted by those volunteer few who were willing to share their God-given talents for the benefit of all; a spirit that ebbs and flows courtesy of the enthusiastic participation of its membership.
All of us possess talents, honed over the years of professional service, which are of great value to a community as our own. Oh, it is often remarked, if only someone had taken the initiative to ask us to volunteer them.
OK, we 're asking!
